Business Card Clinic: Feb 2 ~ 1:30 – 4pm. Despite the high-tech, wired world of virtual networking, there is still a place for the time-tested, 'old school' networking tools like the business card. In this workshop, come in and learn about what content to include and work on a design for your own card – and then start networking!

Career Planning Part 2 - Career Options: Feb 21 ~ 9:30am - 12:30pm. This seminar provides participants with resources and information for researching career options and labour market demands, in order to make realistic  career decisions.

Dollars & Cents-Negotiation Basics: Feb 9 ~  9:30am – 12:30pm. When receiving a job offer, what, if anything is negotiable? How do you prepare for negotiation? What information do you need going into the negotiation? This seminar will help answer these questions, introduce a  simple 5-rule model, and will include some time for hands-on role play.

Everybody Has a Story: Acing The Behavioural  Interview. Feb 13 ~ 9:30am-12:30pm.  More and more employers are using behavioral interview questions to evaluate candidates. During this seminar, participants will learn about behavioural interviews in depth and increase confidence about how to respond effectively through  discussion and practice.

Getting In The Door: Job Search Overview. Feb 28 ~ 9:30am - 12:30pm. This video and discussion-based seminar will provide a quick review of all of the essential steps in an effective job search. Using that information, you will be able to evaluate your own job search practices and  better pinpoint where to focus your future efforts.

Getting Started: Feb 9, 28 ~ 1:30 - 4pm.  This  workshop introduces people to the steps involved in getting through a job transition, the options to consider, resources they might need and where to get assistance. Each person leaves with an Employment Action Plan.

Interview Preparation: Feb 2 ~ 9:30am - 12:30pm. This seminar covers every aspect of interview preparation from  researching the company, linking individual skills to the position, knowing what types of interview questions may come up and how to answer, and good follow-up strategies.

Introduction to Career Planning - Assessment: Feb 14 ~ 9:30am - 12:30pm. This seminar, the first of two parts, outlines the steps in career planning and gets participants started on identifying what types of roles would best suit them, based on an assessment of their personality, vocational interests, values and abilities.

Job Search Best Practices: Feb 7 ~ 9:30am-12:30pm. This  workshop looks at the various strategies for job searching, how effective different strategies are, and key resources for accessing the “hidden” job market.

Managing Stress During Your Job Search: Feb 6 ~ 9:30am - 12:30pm. Most job seekers start off on the job search with hope, optimism and a sense of excitement about potential new opportunities. But as time passes, maintaining a positive outlook can be a challenge and a rejection or two can set back even a confident person. In this seminar, participants will learn how to recognize their own stress reactions, along with strategies and techniques to better manage stress and maintain confidence during the search process.

Networking: Feb 16 ~ 9:30am - 12pm. This workshop  highlights the value of networking as one of the most effective job search strategies and career management practices.  Participants will begin to develop a networking contact list and learn how to introduce themselves effectively.
